QUARTZAIR® is a compact, portable air purifier with 4-stage HEPA-Rx filtration plus a Revitalizing Negative Ion Chamber. Captures 99.998–99.999% of particulates at 0.1–0.2 microns (IEST-RP-CC007.3) with delivered airflow up to 364 CFM (618 m³/h) on turbo. Whisper-quiet on low (<40 dB), it weighs just 23.4 lbs (10.6 kg) at 23" H × 12" diameter, making it the most portable option in the Surgically Clean Air lineup. What is 4-stage filtration?
QUARTZAIR®'s 4-stage system includes: (1) a washable pre-filter for large particles, (2) activated carbon for odors and VOCs, (3) H13 HEPA capturing 99.97% of particles down to 0.3 microns, and (4) ionization for enhanced particle capture. It's a streamlined version of our professional systems optimized for smaller spaces.
How loud is QUARTZAIR®?
QUARTZAIR® operates at just <40 dB on low—quieter than a whisper. Even on high it stays under 50 dB, making it ideal for bedrooms, home offices, and spaces where quiet operation matters.
What room size is QUARTZAIR® designed for?
QUARTZAIR® is optimized for spaces up to 500 square feet—perfect for home offices, bedrooms, small consultation rooms, and studio apartments. For larger spaces, consider JADE® 2.0 (1,500 sq ft) or ONYX SCA® (1,000 sq ft).
How often do filters need replacement?
The combined HEPA/Carbon filter should be replaced every 6-12 months depending on usage and air quality. The washable pre-filter can be rinsed monthly to extend the main filter's life. A filter indicator alerts you when replacement is due.
Does QUARTZAIR® have UV-C?
No. QUARTZAIR® uses 4-stage filtration without UV-C to keep the unit compact and affordable. For UV-C germicidal protection, consider JADE® 2.0 or ONYX SCA® which include 5-stage filtration with UV-C technology.
What's the difference between QUARTZAIR® and JADE® 2.0?
