Surgically Clean Air

Client

The University of Connecticut (UCONN) is a public land-grant research university in Storrs, Connecticut. It was founded in 1881. More than 27,000 students at UConn are pursuing over 100 majors, eight undergraduate degrees, 17 graduate degrees and five professional degree programs. Competing in the Big East Conference as the Huskies, UConn has been successful in its men’s and women’s athletics programs. The Huskies have won numerous NCAA championships.

Client need

With the outbreak of Covid-19, the University wanted to create a medical clinic as an infirmary for students and staff that might be symptomatic for Covid-19. The clinic needed to adopt all the best Covid-19 practices for handling and testing potential ill people.

Surgically Clean Air solution

In 2020, the University of Connecticut purchased 18 Surgically Clean Air Jade purifiers for their Covid-19 Medical Clinics.

Results

Anecdotal feedback suggests that the University was pleased with their Surgically Clean Air units. They are also being used in the clinics to collect blood plasma from recovering Covid-19 patients to help treat other currently ill patients.
