With the out break of Covid-19, the University wanted to create a medical clinic to be used as an infirmary for students and staff that might be symptomatic for Covid-19. The clinic needed to adopt all the best Covid-19 practices for handling and testing potential ill people.
In 2020, the University of Connecticut purchased 18 Surgically Clean Air Jade purifiers to install in their Covid-19 Medical Clinics
Anecdotal feedback suggests that the University was pleased with their Surgically Clean Air units and they are also now using the clinics to collect blood plasma from recovering Covid-19 patients to help in the treatment of other currently ill patients.
