Surgically Clean Air Takes Infection Control to New Heights in a New York City Hospital
Founded in 1863, Hospital for Special Surgery is the oldest orthopedic hospital in the United States. More than 32,000 surgical procedures are performed annually. HSS knows that an infection can be a devastating outcome for an orthopedic patient. That is why HSS takes infection control extremely seriously and has one of the lowest infection rates in the country. As Covid-19 hit New York, HSS knew that they needed to take this infection control to the next and ensure that they had the cleanest air possible.
