Surgically Clean Air Keeps Health Air Moving with City of Commerce Municipal Bus System

Client

City of Commerce Municipal Bus (also known as the City of Commerce Transit) is a small bus operator in the city of Commerce, California, located southeast of downtown Los Angeles. The city of Commerce operates five bus routes throughout the city. It is notable as one of the few transit agencies with zero-fare bus service.

Client need

The department continued to operate their buses during the Covid pandemic, and they wanted to protect the bus drivers from any germs that may enter the bus from passengers.

Surgically Clean Air solution

Covid operating procedures were modified for passengers to enter the bus from the middle doors. Next, a Surgically Clean Air Jade was installed with a special mounting bracket in the front of each bus near the driver’s seat to keep the air clean and healthy around the driver’s compartment.

Results

Since introducing the Surgically Clean Air solution, the bus system has continued to operate. All the drivers remain healthy and have a comforting peace of mind while on the job.
