What is JADE® 2.0?
JADE® 2.0 is a professional-grade portable air purifier featuring 5-stage filtration: a washable pre-filter, activated carbon for odors and VOCs, H13 HEPA capturing 99.97% of particles down to 0.3 microns, photocatalytic oxidation, and enclosed UV-C germicidal light. What is 5-stage filtration?

How loud is the JADE® 2.0?
JADE® 2.0 operates at 37.3 dB on the lowest setting—quieter than a whisper and barely audible. On high speed it reaches approximately 58 dB, comparable to normal conversation. Most dental and medical offices run it on low or medium where it's unobtrusive during patient care.
How often do filters need replacement?
The HEPA/Carbon combo filter should be replaced every 6-12 months depending on usage and air quality. The UV-C bulb lasts approximately 9,000 hours (about 2-3 years of typical use). JADE's indicator light alerts you when replacement is due.
What room size can JADE® 2.0 cover?
JADE® 2.0 is rated for spaces up to 1,200 square feet with 5 air changes per hour. For a typical dental operatory (100-150 sq ft), it provides 25+ air changes per hour. Larger waiting rooms or open floor plans may benefit from multiple units or our ONYX model.
Is UV-C safe around patients?
Yes. The UV-C germicidal light is fully enclosed inside the unit—there's no UV exposure to patients or staff. Air passes through the UV-C chamber internally. JADE® 2.0 is UL and ETL listed and FCC certified for use in occupied spaces.
What's the difference between JADE® 2.0 and ONYX?
JADE® 2.0 ($849) features 5-stage filtration including UV-C and covers 1,200 sq ft at 250 CFM. ONYX SCA® ($949) has a larger HEPA filter, higher CADR (300 CFM), and covers 1,000 sq ft—better for larger operatories or multi-chair open bays. Both use the same core 5-stage technology.
